Schedules :

  • The Sanctuary is open every day from 7am to 6pm.

[IMPORTANT: the last car park closes at 6.15pm, all vehicles must have left the car park before closing time].

NB: these times are independent of official local times.

Tariffs

Access to the sanctuary, buildings and terraces is free.
Trunks are available in several places to receive any offerings you may wish to make, or you can leave them at the reception desk.

To get to Notre-Dame de la Garde

By car:

  • from the Vieux-Port via cours Jean-Ballard > rue Breteuil > boulevard Vauban > rue Fort du Sanctuaire.
  • From Boulevard de la Corderie via Place Joseph Etienne > Rue des Lices > Rue Vauvenargues.
  • From the Corniche J.F. Kennedy via the Vallon de l’Oriol > rue du Bois Sacré > rue de Pointe à Pitre > rue Fort du Sanctuaire.
  • du Prado > via boulevard Perier > boulevard Gaston Crémieux > Vallon Montebello > rue Fort du Sanctuaire

There are four free car parks on the estate (around 150 spaces available).

Bus RTM :

From the Mucem, the Hotel de Ville and the Vieux-Port, take bus No. 60 which will take you to the foot of the Basilique Notre-Dame de la Garde in car park No. 1 (every 20 minutes).

The Little Train :

The "Notre-Dame de la Garde" Little Train takes you along a picturesque route to the foot of the Basilica of Notre-Dame de la Garde.

By bike:

There is no bike station at Notre-Dame de la Garde. But cyclists are welcome. Remember to bring a lock.

On foot :

Take the streets that climb the hill or the various paths through the pine forest. This way you can follow in the footsteps of the pilgrims of old.
